Brittany McLean, M.A., LCMHC, LCAS-A
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

What I Work With

Life can bring many challenges, and the concerns that could include anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, self-esteem struggles, life transitions, relationship challenges, and substance use. I also work with individuals and families navigating ADHD, eating disorders, parenting difficulties, and the complex adjustments that come with different stages of life.

Background & Training

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University in 2015 and my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2018.

I have over six years of experience providing individual and family counseling to adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. My work includes supporting individuals from ages 6 to 65 across a variety of personal, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

How I Work

My counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate techniques from Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness-based approaches to help individuals develop insight, build coping skills, and create meaningful change.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where individuals feel heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to help you explore challenges, develop practical tools, and build the confidence needed to move toward growth and stability.

Whether you are navigating personal struggles, family challenges, or life transitions, I look forward to working with you and your family to gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move toward a healthier and more balanced life.
